“To me, the American Dream is living without fear of what could happen. For example, in El Slavador, you would walk outside in fear of what would happen. And you don’t have that in the United States. You don’t have that in Arlington.”

“For the past 50 years Tarrant County College has been providing quality Education to the residents of Tarrant County. We instill in our students the belief that their “Success Is Within Reach” beginning with our College for Kids summer program and continuing with our Associate Degrees, Technical Certificate Programs, various Continuing Education offerings and our Senior Education Program for those 55 and over.  Working to help those who come through our doors reach both their educational, as well as, their career goals; we stand ready to meet their individual needs with small class sizes, well qualified faculty, a variety of student support services, and our comprehensive day/night/ weekend course offerings. We truly are the community’s college!”

- Dr. Bill Coppola, Ph.D., Tarrant County College Southeast Campus President

“In the six years that I’ve been here the City of Arlington has changed radically largely because of institutions like UT Arlington. UTA Brings in 30,000 students per year and it provides me an incubator to allow my students and me to converse about engaging with the community to create this dynamic creative class that will ultimately become embedded in the City of Arlington.”

- Darryl Lauster, Sculptor and UTA professor

“I can think of a teacher at every single grade that I’ve been at and the influence they had on me. You always say you want to give more to your children that what you had. That’s my focus. I want to make sure that when my daughter is going to these schools that she is achieving dreams greater than even I could imagine and I want that for every single child in Arlington.”

- Bowie Hogg, Arlington High School Graduate and Arlington School Board Chair
