2017 Bill McCart Volunteer of the Year – Barbara Morris

We are pleased to announce Barbara Morris as the recipient of the 2017 Bill McCart Volunteer of the Year award. Barbara’s dedication as a shelter volunteer began in August 2015. She shared that she especially loves her time with the kittens, other volunteers, and shelter staff. Barbara serves as the Volunteer Coordinator for center’s adoptable cats featured at PetSmart at the Arlington Highlands and logs many devoted hours to the Animal Services Center’s cattery.

“Being named Volunteer of the Year was a goal that I set for myself two years ago after attending the Volunteer Appreciation event, Volunteer Coordinator Barbara Morris said. “After my mentor Larry Glover won it, I told myself that was what I was striving to achieve.”

Much appreciation to Barbara and for all her hard work and commitment to helping the homeless animals, Animal Services Center and the community.

Congratulations Barbara!
