Arlington Animal Services in partnership with community volunteers provided educational hands-on pet grooming academy sessions for youth in the summer of 2015. Youth learned helpful techniques for grooming their furry friends.

2014 Youth Pet Grooming Academy

Arlington Animal Services Responsible Pet Grooming Academy

The summer of 2014 was an action packed one for youth in the Parks and Recreation’s Xtreme Teen Camp that attended the Youth Pet Grooming Academy at the Animal Services Center on July 31. Volunteer Coordinator Cheri Colbert led the class and activities for the 48 sixth through tenth grade students in attendance. Pet grooming skills were taught with hands-on participation at these fun learning events.
