Shorewood Estates Neighborhood Action Plan

READ THE DRAFT SHOREWOOD ESTATES NEIGHBORHOOD ACTION PLAN!

The Shorewood Estates neighborhood has been in Arlington since the 1960s. Each year, they host a National Night Out party and have an active Crime Watch group. Since 2014, the neighborhood has worked with the City on projects and issues, including two Neighborhood Matching Grant projects. In January 2017, residents began developing their plan with City staff. The goals of the plan create a “road map” to improve the unique qualities of the neighborhood.

This neighborhood plan is a draft that will be considered for approval in Fall 2017. Once adopted, all neighborhood plans become a part of the City’s Comprehensive Plan. Then the neighborhood, City staff members, and elected officials use the plans to help make decisions about the future of Arlington.
