Report Waste, Fraud and Abuse

The City has engaged Convercent, Inc. to provide an anonymous fraud, waste, and abuse hotline for the City of Arlington.   The purpose of the service is to ensure that any individual wishing to submit a report anonymously can do so without the fear of retribution.

Individuals are encouraged to use the hotline service in cases where anonymity is desired.  Please follow standard practices for all reports or issues not requiring anonymity.

Reports may cover but are not limited to the following topics:

    • Abuse of Power, Authority, or Control
    • Accounting/Audit Related Complaints or Concerns
    • Compliance and Regulation Violations (Non-Financial)
    • Conflict of Interest
    • Ethics Violation
    • Falsifying Documents
    • Fraud
    • Other
    • Section 8 Fraud
    • Theft (Financial & Other)
    • Unsafe Work Conditions
    • Waste

The toll-free number and website are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Please note that the information provided by you may be the basis of an internal and/or external investigation into the issue you are reporting and your anonymity will be protected to the extent possible by law.  However, your identity may become known during the course of the investigation because of the information you have provided.  Reports are submitted by Convercent to the City Auditor’s Office.
