The Arlington City Council is comprised of a Mayor and eight City Council members. Elections are conducted every spring in May.

Represents the portion of the city bounded by Division Street on the south and the city limits on the north. Also bounded by Great Southwest Parkway and SH 360 on the east and Fielder Road and the city limits on the west. District 1 includes Six Flags Over Texas, Hurricane Harbor, Globe Life Park, and River Legacy Park.

Helen received her finance and real estate degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and a bachelor’s in management from the University of Texas at Austin.  She is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management and has also served on numerous national committees and boards from 2005 to 2015.

She is a Member of Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) and her teams have won 18 BOMA TOBY awards for excellence in property management.   After a career in Real Estate she started working on an advisory capacity with various owners and developers.   Now she has turned her focus to District 1 in hopes of improving infrastructure and the lives of other Arlington citizens.
