Enter the Arlington MLK Spirit of Service Collegiate Scholarship
The Arlington MLK Celebration Committee funds a $1,000 scholarship especially for students enrolled at UT Arlington and Tarrant County College-Southeast Campus.Essay Topic: “Advancing the Dream: A Nation of Freedom and Justice”The entry deadline is November 18, 2016This scholarship will help defray the cost of tuition and books for a deserving student who demonstrates a commitment to community service and academics. Submissions are also evaluated on financial need.Requirements include:
- Demonstrated commitment to community service
- Must be a sophomore, junior, or senior who has completed 30 hours of more.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Full-time status (12 semester hours or more)
- Demonstrated financial need (FAFSA score for 2016)
- Essay must not exceed 1,500 words
