January 12 -15, 2018. Advancing The Dream.
“Everybody can be great… Because anybody can serve.” – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Sponsorship :: Letter From The Chair

Dear Community,

The Arlington Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee is proud to be embarking on our 29th year of honoring the life and legacy of a great civil rights leader.

This year, under the leadership of Tarrant County College Southeast, the planning committee is busy at work, finalizing four days of community activities.

Every year in Arlington, thousands of people come together to participate in one of our nation’s largest Dr. King Celebrations.  From the Awards Banquet on Friday night to the Youth Musical Extravaganza on the Dr. King National Holiday, there is something for everyone. This year’s theme is “Continuing The Dream: Moving Toward Unity, Justice and Peace.” With the  support we receive from Arlington and the surrounding communities, we are inspired to keep his dream alive for the good of all mankind.

We cannot do it without your support. We depend on tax deductible donations from individuals, businesses and nonprofit organizations to help advance Dr. King’s dream and make our four-day celebration one of the very best in the country.  On this site, we have information to assist you in determining your level of giving.

On behalf of all who serve on the Arlington Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee, we thank you for your continued support of this celebration and look forward to seeing you January 12-15!

Sincerely,

Nita Haliburton and Sharon Jones
