Fifth graders in Arlington are being motivated to stay active this summer and keep moving! Mayor Robert Cluck and AISD Superintendent Jerry McCullough will host this year’s “Let’s Move with the Mayor” kick-off event along with Texas Rangers Captain to inspire students to fight obesity by leading active and healthier lives.

About Let’s Move

Now in its third year, this program is part of a national Let’s Move campaign inspired by First Lady Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” campaign which has mayors throughout the U.S. working with their communities to adopt a holistic approach to fighting childhood obesity.  “Move with the Mayor” is sponsored locally by the City of Arlington, Arlington ISD, Six Flags Over Texas, JPS Health Network, Nestlé and Allan Saxe.
