Define An Identifiable Brand

Over the last decade, Arlington has achieved a higher profile on the regional, national and international stage with world-class events taking place in the Entertainment District and as a home to an emerging Tier I research university. At the same time, we’ve been able to lower our crime rate, grow the city’s business base, and maintain our friendly, stable neighborhoods. Mix all of that together and you have a city that’s able to provide world class entertainment in a community where people feel safe and know their neighbors on a first name basis. Simply put, Arlington has a great story to share with the rest of the state and country.

Arlington City Council wants to capitalize on all of that with creation of a new brand that will showcase the City’s proud history and its bright future. For 2013-2014, City Council adopted four main priorities and one of them is building that identifiable brand. To accomplish this, City staff and community partners are working together to develop a cohesive image as Arlington continues to grow and succeed.

Looking at the man with the Arlington flag,leave the cowboy hats and boots to our neighbors to the west. I am a sixty year plus resident,from 5th grader at West Side elementary school to present retiree. Our Texas roots though important have not made Arlington what it is today. Arlington’s progressive leadership and visions for the present and the future have set us apart from other cities in Texas and the world.
