A Night at the Apollo Without Leaving Arlington

The Arlington Museum of Art is continuing its celebration of the Harlem Renaissance with a tribute to The Apollo Theater, a historic venue located in New York City.

Get your tickets for “Amateur Night at the Arlington Museum of Art” on Saturday, August 17, from 7-9 p.m.  Amateur acts from the Arlington area will compete for the top prize–$1000 in cash. Audience participation will decide the top three winners.

For several decades, The Apollo was a hotbed for young performers getting their start in show business. Greats such as Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, James Brown & The Famous Flames and The Jackson 5 got their start at the Apollo.

Tickets are $20. Purchase tickets here.
