Public Input Meeting: Abram Street Project

Arlington residents and businesses will soon have a chance to weigh in on the City of Arlington’s plans to rebuild and enhance Abram Street — from Cooper Street to Collins Street.

A project briefing meeting will be held Tuesday, May 20 at the Arlington Convention Center, 1200 Ballpark Way (map it) to learn more about the vision for the future Abram Street. This meeting will run from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. (presentation starts at 6:00 PM)

The project is currently in the conceptual design phase. This is your chance to see various options and to provide feedback to be considered in the final selection of the design concept. Display boards depicting the alternatives will be available for the public to view.

Please contact Bob Watson at 817-459-6582 or Bob.Watson@arlingtontx.gov for more information on the project.

  1. I attended the meeting@the convention center…this would be such a no brainer if our fair city had actual public transportation.

  2. What a joke this whole thing is and just a waste of time and money. If it was not for Federal money to pay for bike lanes which is what its all about. No one in there right mind would even consider choking down traffic in this area.
And it makes about as much sense that the City spent on Norwood between Fielder and West Abram Street. Just another pet project of a certain council person.
