If you’re interested in harvesting rainwater using a rain barrel, the City of Arlington has the class for you.
Register today for the “Make a Rain Barrel” class presented by the City of Arlington Water Utilities Department on Saturday, September 20 at 10 a.m. in the Arlington City Hall Council Chambers.
Rain barrels are a great way to conserve water, which is at a premium this summer. You can capture the pure rain water that garden plants prefer.
For only $10, residents with a residential Arlington Water Utilities account can attend a “Make a Rain Barrel” class at EcoFest Arlington and leave with their very own rain barrel. The reduced fee covers the cost of the 55 gallon rain barrel and materials.
Register today to learn how to design and install a rainwater harvesting system at your home. A total of 125 rain barrels will be given away and there is a limit of one rain barrel per residence.
