Arlington Police, Water Utilities Host Drug Take-Back Event April 30

Got drugs? Residents are encouraged to turn in their expired and unused medications for anonymous, safe disposal between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2016.

Disposal Guidelines


  • Controlled, non-controlled, and over the counter medications
  • All solid dosage pharmaceutical product and liquids in consumer containers, liquid products, such as cough syrup (please keep sealed in original container)

Not Accepted:

  • Intravenous solutions, injectables, and syringes
  • Illicit substances such as marijuana or methamphetamine


  • Participants may dispose of medication in its original container or by removing the medication from its container and disposing of it directly into the disposal box.
  • All participants must retain possession of their own medication during the surrender process.

This PROGRAM is in response to when we found out after the fact that pharmaceuticals were in Arlington’s drinking water….I guess we have to wait and see what kind of PROGRAM Arlington initiates after the “FRACK” is found in our drinking water…oh wait, there already was a frack spill in Lake Arlington…and also by coincidence? our TTHM’s have almost tripled since urban drilling…hmmm we don’t seem to get getting with the PROGRAM to take HB40 to the Supreme Court to ban a ban on fracking bans!
