Ring in a Healthy New Year in Arlington at the Jiggle Butt Run & Walk

Thousands of women are expected to participate in the 11th annual 5K Jiggle Butt Run and Walk, benefiting SafeHaven of Tarrant County on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 7 a.m.

The agency provides care and shelter to victims of domestic abuse and seeks to return families to a safe, self-sufficient environment by providing support services such as education, counseling, and a transitional living program. The Jiggle Butt Run and Walk has raised over $125,000 for the organization in just a few years.

Women of all ages and fitness levels are encouraged to participate in the 5K fun run which will wind through the UTA campus and Downtown Arlington.

Come early, between 7 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. for registration and group warm-up exercises inside UTA’s E.H. Hereford Center at 300 W First St. before the race starts at 9A.M. in front of College Park on Spaniolo Dr.

Participants may register online to pay with a credit card, or at the event to pay with cash, check or card.  Fees are $35 for individuals and $30 for team participants.

VIP tickets are also available for $100, which includes a runners technical shirt, gear check-in, recognition on stage, and access to the exclusive VIP tent offering massage chairs, snacks, and complimentary valet parking. All participants will also enjoy special lunch discounts at nearby J. Gilligan’s following the race as well as post-run refreshments.

Request a timing tag at registration to record your personal progress or to be considered for one of the awards being presented to the four fastest runners.

Prizes will also be given to the most spirited team, the best costume, and the largest team.
