Culture Buzz: Enchant Christmas Lights Up Arlington’s Entertainment District

The newest Culture Buzz segment on MyArlingtonTV visits Enchant Christmas, which debuts this year in Arlington’s Entertainment District.

With more than two million twinkling lights and brilliantly lit sculptures, families will create memories that will last beyond the holiday season. Based upon the delightful children’s story “The Adventures of Enchant: The Great Search,” written by Leanne Johnston, a world of wonder awaits holiday revelers at this outdoor, strolling winter wonderland.

“This originated last year in Vancouver and it had so much fanfare and excitement that it outgrew its location,” said Ron Price, Arlington Convention & Visitors Bureau president. “We’re so thrilled to able to host it here and see this thing as large as it is and all of the fun and excitement it is going to bring to Arlington and all of our wonderful visitors.”

Enchant’s incredible features include the world’s largest light maze, where visitors wind along paths to help Santa find his nine missing reindeer. Other features include Santa’s Palace, the Texas Christkindl Market Lane with authentic German vendors, live music and entertainment, more than 20 local food trucks, an ice skating pond, a kid’s zone and a VIP event lounge.

Enchant comes to The American Dream City thanks to the Texas Rangers and Arlington Convention & Visitors Bureau. The event runs November 24 through December 31, 2017.  Hours of operation are 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.  Closed December 24 and Mondays with the exception of December 18 and 25.  Enchant is located in Lot F at Globe Life Park, 1000 Ballpark Way (on the corners of Copeland Road and AT&T Way). Parking is free.
