Editor’s Note: Winners of Arlington’s 2018 Animal Essay Contest will be notified on Feb. 2 and recognized by Arlington City Council on March 6. 

The deadline for 2018 Animal Essay Contest entries is quickly approaching! Essay entries from third through sixth graders from Arlington, Mansfield, and Kennedale Independent School Districts, public, private, or home-schooled students residing in Arlington city limits must be received by 5 p.m. this Friday, January 12, 2018.

Entries may be hand-delivered between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to the following locations:

• Water Customer Service Desk at City Hall, at 101 W. Abram Street
• South Service Center, at 1100 S.W. Green Oaks Boulevard
• Arlington Animal Services, at 1000 S.E. Green Oaks Boulevard

No hand-delivered entries accepted after 5 p.m. Friday, January 12.
