Arlington Public Library’s Free Citizenship Classes Begin This Saturday

It’s back to school time for Arlington residents working to achieve their dream of becoming American citizens. Free Citizenship Classes are available through Arlington Reads on Saturdays from January 13 to March 3. Dedicated Arlington Reads staff and volunteers are eagerly looking forward to the start of citizenship class season.

This eight-week class is offered every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. January 13 to March 3 at the Arlington Reads Literacy House, 101 E. North St. Like all adult education offered through Arlington Reads and the Arlington Public Library, citizenship classes are free. Call Arlington Reads at (817) 460-2727 to sign up.

The class prepares students to pass the citizenship test. Students will learn civics, United States history, and tips on the test format itself. All supplies are included. Citizenship classes are offered for students working towards their dream of becoming American citizens.

Arlington Reads is the Arlington Public Library’s adult literacy initiative. In addition to citizenship classes, the library offers High School Equivalency (GED) preparation and English as a Second Language classes. Contact Arlington Reads at (817) 460-2727 for details.
