Turkey Trots have been a part of American Thanksgiving Day tradition as far back as 1896, with the founding of the Buffalo Turkey Trot in New York.

Registration is open now for the Arlington Turkey Trot, which has been named by Daily Burn magazine as a Top 20 Turkey Trot in the nation. Click here to register for this year’s event.

The 1-mile fun run will begin at 8 a.m. and will be followed by the 5k run beginning at 8:30 a.m. Packet pick-up will be available on race day between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.

Registration and the Start & Finish are on Nolan Ryan Expressway on the west side of the Globe Life Park in Arlington. Parking is free and will be located at the Arlington Convention Center and Texas Rangers Lot J on Randol Mill Road.

Awards will be given in several categories, including the top male and female finishers in each age group.
