Is a “Tale of Two Cities” taking up valuable space on your bookshelf? Are you ready to pass along your copy of last year’s fiction best seller? If so, you should consider donating your unwanted books to benefit the Arlington Public Library.

The Friends and Foundation of the Arlington Public Library will collect donations on three dates, starting this Saturday, for upcoming book sales that benefit the city’s libraries.

The book drive is set from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 16, 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 21, and 10 a.m. to noon March 16. The drop-off location is at The Friends and Foundation of the Arlington Public Library warehouse, 2205 W. Division St., Suite G4, near Bowen Road.

The nonprofit is seeking the following items in good, clean condition:

• Hard bound and paperback books in any language
• Graphic novels and comic books
• DVDs, CDs, Records and audio books
• Rare, collectible books
• Sets that are complete and current
• Tax manuals, current year only
• Magazines, current year only
• Craft and cooking magazines of any age
• Computer books less than three years old
• Computer for Dummies series and Windows XP books of any age
• Reference items (i.e. almanacs) less than three years old
• Consumer Guides less than three years old
• Textbooks less than three years old
• Encyclopedias less than three years old
• Vocational Study Guides less than 4 years old
• Travel Guides less than five years old
• Business, Finance, Medicine & Psychology materials less than five years old
• Yearbooks
• Prints, post cards, games, jigsaw puzzles

The group will NOT accept:

• Weekly magazines
• National Geographic, single issues or bound
• Law Books
• Large decorative art
• VCR or cassette tapes
