Dream Builders: Mansfield ISD’s Dr. Sarah K. Jandrucko Academy for Early Learners

Dream Builders is a show on MyArlingtonTV that highlights the ways our community is helping kids dream big, nurture their creativity, polish their skills and develop the tools they need to achieve their American Dream as young adults.

The latest Dream Builders episode features Mansfield ISD’s new Dr. Sarah K. Jandrucko Academy for Early Learners, an innovative school for preschool children that takes learning beyond the four walls of the classroom.

MISD’s tuition-based pre-kindergarten program is for children who are 4 years of age on or before Sept. 1 of the current school year and who are not eligible for the Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities (PPCD) or the free federally-funded pre-kindergarten program.

The facility has 16 unique learning experiences that are structured into pods of learning, exploration, investigation, navigation, and imagination. In each pod, kids are immersed in learning about different topics, including oceans, greenhouses, jungles, animals, and space.

The campus mission statement and purpose is to improve the school readiness of young children using creative, hands-on, interactive experiences within a research-based early childhood program.

The City’s Office of Communication develops programming for MyArlingtonTV. Viewers can find MyArlingtonTV programs on the following cable systems: Spectrum Channel 16 and AT&T U-Verse channel 99, and streaming capabilities at www.arlington-tx.gov.
