Arlington Tree Advisory Committee Accepting Applications

The City of Arlington is seeking  additional members for the Arlington Tree Advisory Committee. The committee shall serve in an advisory capacity, support city initiatives, assist in the coordination of programs and events, recruit citizen support, seek funding through grants sponsorships and donations, educate the public and review the tree ordinance to assist with its evolution. Meetings will be scheduled as deemed necessary by the chairperson. The committee may expand if deemed necessary by the Parks and Recreation Board. Tierra Verde Golf Club One of the Best in the Nation

It may be the height of summer, but that isn’t stopping golfers from playing (and loving) a lot of golf in Arlington. Tierra Verde Golf Club was recently ranked No. 5 nationally on Golf Advisor’s Weekly Power rankings. Play Golf with Pro Football Hall of Famers

APRD Summer Camps Attract Record Numbers

Today’s summer camp activities are a long way from making a duct tape wallet and singing “Kumbaya.” Campers today can enjoy everything from rock wall climbing to cooking classes to tennis clinics and beyond. Vandergriff Park Construction Continues

Vandergiff Park is once again under construction; adding to a list of recent projects to renovate this beloved City park. In spring 2014, construction was completed at Vandergriff Skatepark which was unveiled during a highly-anticipated grand opening ceremony. In addition, a new terrace at the Bob Duncan Center was constructed in 2013 along with a new road and improved parking the previous year. Bubble Soccer is Coming to Arlington

The Arlington Athletics division is bringing an action-packed game from the United Kingdom to the city limits of Arlington, Texas. An official “Bubble Soccer” league will be available at the Elzie Odom Athletic Center, beginning October 7, 2014. The Game is Simple You wear a giant, inflatable bubble while playing soccer.
