10:20 am –10:50 am Sarah Stubblefield, Shaping YOUR American Dream City: “How the City of Arlington Engages Neighborhoods”, which will present the Arlington Neighborhood Program and city resources available for neighborhood engagement and sustainability.

10:50 am – 11:20 am Amy Cannon, Floodplain Map Updates and Flood Insurance: District 3- FEMA floodplain map changes and Flood Insurance

11:20 am- 11:50 am- Jennifer Shaver, Environmental Programs:
Residential Curbside Recycling, Composting Classes, and Household Hazardous Waste (Crud Cruiser) Program. As Keep Texas and Keep America Beautiful Affiliations, get involved in Great American Clean-up, Earth Day, and other events.

12:50 pm – 1:20 pm Mindy Cochran & Sheryl Kenny, Serving our Residents: Housing Rehab is a federally funded program to help low to moderate income homeowners make necessary repairs to their homes to correct code violations, repair emergency items posing a health or safety problem, or to make homes more accessible for families who have a household member with a physical disability. Accessibility modifications can also be made for rental units, with approval of the property owner. Funds are generally provided in the form of a forgivable loan.The Amy Young Barrier Removal program is a state funded housing rehab program that is specific to making homes more accessible for persons with a physical disability. Improvements can include installing wheelchair ramps, lowering light switches, and creating roll in showers. Funding for this program is provided in the form of a grant.To include: Housing Rehab / Barrier Program- Housing, Down Payment Assistance, Acquisition Rehab, and Housing Channel’s house project with UTA.
