Seeking the public’s help locating a bank robbery suspect

Arlington Police detectives are looking for a man believed to have been involved in at least two bank robberies in a short time frame yesterday. On Monday, November 25, 2013, at about 1 p.m., a suspect walked into a grocery store in the 2200 block of S. Fielder Street that has a bank inside. He told the bank teller that he had a gun and passed the teller a note demanding money. The teller complied and the suspect left without displaying a weapon. About 15 minutes later a suspect matching the description of the man in the initial robbery walked into another grocery store that has a bank inside in the 2500 block of E. Arkansas Road. The man told the bank teller he had a gun and handed the teller a note demanding money. As in the previous robbery, the man left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was seen leaving the location in a 2000 Chevy truck that was a maroon color.

About 15 minutes prior to the first bank robbery yesterday, a man matching the suspect’s description also went to another bank inside of a grocery store in the 900 block of W. Lamar Boulevard. The bank tellers described him as acting odd and nervous. He left without incident, but is believed to have been the same man who robbed two other banks yesterday.

The suspect is described as a man between the ages of 18 and 22 at about 5’8” tall with a medium build. A photograph of the suspect is included with this message. Anyone with information about this bank robbery suspect is asked to call Arlington Robbery Detective D. Dewall at 817 459-5739, or Crime Stoppers at 817 469-TIPS (8477). Tipsters may remain anonymous and are eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
