Man Found Deceased in Street

The Arlington Police Department responded to the 6100 block of Fern Meadow Road in reference to a shooting investigation on Monday, February 29, 2016 at about 11 p.m. When officers arrived, they located a man lying in the street with an apparent gunshot wound. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Witnesses described seeing a white four-door sedan driving from the area at around the same time the gunshot was heard. A neighbor’s surveillance system captured these still images that are attached to this news release. Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in providing any information that may assist in this investigation. The vehicle may or may not be involved but investigators would like to speak to the individuals in case they saw something. The identity of the deceased and cause of death will be released by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office after next of kin notifications have been made.
