Human Trafficking :: About The North Texas Anti-Trafficking Team

The North Texas Anti-Trafficking Team (NTATT) is a multi-disciplinary partnership that is under the guidance of the U.S. Attorney’s office. The team is comprised of representatives of law PolicePatchenforcement agencies from Arlington, Dallas and Fort Worth, along with the Federal Bureau of Investigations, Homeland Security Investigations / Immigration Customs Enforcement, the Texas Attorney General’s Special Investigations Unit, Texas Department of Public Safety and other state and federal law enforcement agencies.

The primary goal of the North Texas Anti-Trafficking Team is to rescue trafficking victims and to ensure their safety, well-being and health through proactive law enforcement investigations and social service delivery using a victim-centered approach. To achieve the law enforcement component of this objective with the level of expertise, training and experience needed to accomplish its mission, the North Texas Trafficking Task Force (NTTTF) was developed.

PrintThe Arlington, Dallas and Fort Worth Metro area, generally known by many as the “Metroplex,” is the fourth largest metropolitan area in the United States. Centrally located, the Metroplex is a major commercial trucking and business corridor and is the gateway from the U.S. / Mexico border to the Midwest and beyond. This region is suspected of being a major destination for traffickers.

The Arlington Police Department serves as the lead fiscal agent for the 2013 Enhanced Collaborative Model to Combat Human Trafficking grant. The focus is collaboration. This entails developing a coordinated response to trafficking incidents, bringing awareness and education to the community and eventually bringing the perpetrators of this crime to justice.
