Service Before Self, Honor Above All

Meet the Recruiters

Sergeant Jeff Davis

Sergeant Jeff DavisI joined the Arlington Police Department in 1996.  I received a Bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University. I have had the privilege to serve in many capacities throughout my career with APD.  I have worked as a patrol officer, accident investigator, crime scene sergeant and  SWAT Team.  The Arlington Police Department offers many career opportunities that allow me to proudly serve my community and the millions of visitors who make our city their destination every year.

Investigator Jennifer Archer

Investigator Jennifer ArcherI joined the Arlington Police Department in 2003. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. I chose to work for the Arlington Police Department for a variety of reasons. Our department’s standards and values are parallel to the ones I choose to follow in my personal life.

I grew up in Arlington, attended Arlington schools, was a Police Explorer and active member of the Citizen’s Police Academy. I had the opportunity to experience firsthand the professionalism that runs throughout this police department and I am proud to serve the community I grew up in.

Investigator Terry Martin

Investigator Terry MartinI joined the Arlington Police Department in 1984. I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Criminal Justice from the University of Texas at Arlington.

I joined APD because I wanted to be a part of a large department that offers plenty of career opportunities, but small enough so that I can get to know everyone. It has been a rewarding career.

Investigator Heather Gibson

Investigator Heather GibsonI joined the Arlington Police Department in 2001. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice/Psychology from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.

I grew up in a small town, Kemp Texas, and finished number one in my graduating class of 70. I decided to join APD for the enormous amount of diverse career opportunities they offered. Location was also very important. Arlington is in the center of a thriving Metroplex.  Since joining APD,  I have had the privilege of working in many areas, including the North Criminal Investigations Division as a detective and the Police Training Academy as an instructor.  I have worked as a field training officer and beat officer. I am honored to serve my department and citizens of Arlington in this new capacity.
