Responsible for the curbside collection of garbage and recycling, including twice-a-week garbage pickup, weekly recycling pickup and bulky waste pickup.

Garbage Disposal :: Curbside Collection

Garbage, trash and brush must be placed curbside no later than 7:00 a.m. on scheduled day of collection, and not before 7:00 p.m. the evening prior to the day of scheduled collection.

For missed garbage and other service issues, please call Republic Services at 817-317-2000.

Republic Services call center is open Monday – Friday from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m., and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. 12 noon. If a customer needs to call in outside of these time frames, they do have an answering machine. Messages are checked the following business day and, if requested, return calls are made. If no return call is requested, they enter the information into our system accordingly.

Garbage and trash are to be secured in a plastic bag.

DO NOT PLACE CONTAINERS ON CURB THAT YOU WISH TO KEEP
(including plastic or metal trash cans of any kind.)

Maximum weight: 50 lbs. per bag

Tree limbs and brush must be cut in 4 foot lengths:  trimmed, bundled, and stacked with large ends toward curb. Bundles may not exceed 50 lbs. Brush will be collected at the rate of 1 cubic yard per pickup day. For larger jobs, Republic Services offers chipping services to Arlington residents. For rates and scheduling, call 817-317-2000.

Storm Debris: the City of Arlington does not provide special collection and chipping services for tree limbs resulting from storm damage.

Take the following to the ARLINGTON LANDFILL (Address & Location Map), they will NOT be picked up at the curb:

    • Free Landfill Coupon Printgrass clippings
    • dirt
    • rock
    • concrete
    • bricks
    • tires
    • or other waste building materials.

Hazardous Waste

Take the following to the Environmental Collection Center, they will NOT be picked up at the curb:

    • paint
    • oil
    • chemicals
    • or other flammable or volatile substances.

Bulky items such as furniture, appliances and other large household items

Place curbside with your regular trash.  You may also take these to the landfill.
