Arlington households may dump free of charge, twice a year at the Arlington Landfill.Residents are encouraged to clean up around their homes and take advantage of two free visits per year per household to the landfill to dispose of bulky waste such as old carpet, appliances, scrap metal, tires, tree limbs, fence panels and more.

Are coupon for Arlington residents only?
YES.To discourage misuse of the program by contractors and nonresidents, it is now a requirement that you present the scale house attendant with a printed copy of your coupon along with your current Texas driver’s license.The address on your driver’s license and the address on your coupon MUST be the same in order to dump for free. Otherwise, you will be subject to the regular Arlington residential rates. The current landfill rate for Arlington residents is $7.00 for a pickup or trailer less than 8 feet. The rate for brush is $8.00 for a pickup or trailer less than 8 feet.Contractors, landlords and other multiple property owners are subject to regular landfill fees.
Will old tires be accepted free of charge?
Up to four passenger tires will be accepted free of charge during your free visit to the landfill.
Will large pieces of old concrete be accepted free of charge?
Yes. The landfill will also accept other scrap building material such as lumber, brick and sheetrock.
Is old paint, motor oil and other household hazardous waste acceptable at the landfill?
No. Household hazardous waste including cooking oil may be taken to the Environmental Collection Center located at 6400 Bridge Street in Fort Worth. There is no charge but proof of Arlington Residency
is required. The center is open weekly on Thursday and Fridays from 11 am until 7 pm and on Saturday from 9 am until 3 pm.
Where can I take old butane or propane cylinders?
Amerigas located at 6801 Mitchell Parkway will take them free of charge. They are located in SE Arlington and may be reached at 817-467-1727.
Are any of the items received recycled?
Yes, the landfill regularly recycles tires, scrap metal including appliances and lawnmowers, brush, tree limbs, electronics, concrete and asphalt, glass, paper and plastic.
