Emergency Physician’s Advisory Board

Membership: 11 members: The Medical Director or his/her designee of each hospital emergency department which receives emergency patients by ambulance located within Arlington, seven other physicians, the City’s EMS Medical Director and the City’s Fire Chief.

Appointment: Mayor and City Council.

Term: Two years. The board is subject to the Term Limitation Policy.

Meetings: Quarterly.

Function: The function of this board is to serve as an advisory, regulatory and fact-finding body for the City Council regarding medical control of the City’s ambulance system.
