Housing Authority

Membership: One member shall be a tenant representative and four at large members.

Appointment: Mayor, with City Council approval.

Term: Two years. The board is subject to the Term Limitation Policy.

Meetings: The 3rd Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m.

Function: The Housing Authority Board of Commissioners oversees the operations of the Arlington Housing Authority, a public entity established to administer federally funded housing and rental assistance programs. In addition, through a management agreement with the City of Arlington, the Housing Authority Board administers the City’s Housing Rehabilitation Program, which is a home repair program funded by the City’s Community Development Block Grant, and other state and federally funded programs related to housing on behalf of the City of Arlington.
