During this phase of the project, crews will replace the south mainline rail, crossties and ballast on the 13-mile stretch of rail which runs parallel to Division Street. Concrete panels at each railroad crossing will be renewed as well.
- Crews are expected to work from 7:00 p.m. to 4 a.m. each day.
- Trains passing by work crews will blow their horns for safety reasons, even in the quiet zones.
- Only two railroad crossings will be closed at a time. This will help minimize the impact on northbound and southbound traffic.
The following crossings will remain OPEN during the extent of the project:Explore our Arlington Webcam Map Tour, list of webcams or news archive to help you plan your daily commute.
