The project was chosen based on a history of water main breaks or sanitary sewer main blockages. Work will include 4,400 feet of new sanitary sewer mains along High Point Road, from South Cooper Street to West Arbrook Boulevard.

Project status: In September, the Arlington City Council approved the execution of a construction contract with ARK Contracting Services, LLC, of Kennedale, for the High Point (Cooper to Arbrook) Sanitary Sewer Renewal in the amount of $2,676,395. Construction is scheduled to start in February 2018. A public meeting on the project was held Jan. 25, 2018. Click here for more information from that meeting.

Water main renewals are planned in the area before sanitary sewer project begins. Click here for more on the water main project.

Related closures and outages: Some temporary lane closures and outages may be necessary during the project. Affected residents will be notified through face-to-face interactions, social media, and email communication.

Timeline:  Construction is scheduled to start in early 2018.
