Johnson Creek Sanitary Sewer Improvements

The project will include 2,775 feet of sanitary sewer main in the Johnson Creek area, between Center Street and Roosevelt Street. The purpose of the project is to increase capacity and eliminate sanitary sewer overflows. Existing drainage ditches along Thannisch Drive will also be evaluated for improvement.

Project status: The Arlington City Council approved a design contract of up to $171,000 with Kimley-Horn and Associates, of Fort Worth, in August 2016.

Related closures and outages: Some short term water outages and lane closures are expected during the project. Affected residents will be notified through face-to-face interactions, social media, and email communication.

Timeline: The project is in the design stage.
