Planned and emergency projects to keep Arlington’s water and sewer infrastructure strong.

Road to Six Flags Water and Sanitary Sewer Renewal

This project consists of constructing approximately 2,500 linear feet of 8-inch water line and 2,300 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer line in Road To Six Flags from Collins to Pennant and in New Haven Street from Road To Six Flags to Skyline. Once the sanitary sewer infrastructure improvements are completed, 13,500 square yards of asphalt pavement will be reconstructed by street reclamation.

Project status: In September, the Arlington City Council approved a construction contract with Gra-Tex Utilities, Inc., of Arlington, for Road To Six Flags Street and New Haven Street Water and Sanitary Sewer Renewal in the amount of $2,765,570. Construction will begin in January 2018.

Affected property owners and tenants are invited to an informational meeting 6-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017 in the Council Briefing Room at Arlington City Hall (3rd floor), 101 W. Abram St. A project timetable and additional details will be presented.

Related closures and outages: Some road closures and short-term water outages will be necessary. Affected residents will be notified through face-to-face interactions, social media, and email communication.

Timeline:  Construction will begin in January 2018.
