Map includes Tucker, Wren, and Lovers improvements. Click to enlarge.

The project consists of constructing approximately 2,450 linear feet of 8-inch water main and 4,250 linear feet of 8-inch and 10-inch sanitary sewer main. It also includes minor storm drain repairs. The project includes areas of West Tucker Boulevard, Wren Drive and Lovers Lane. It will extend the life of the public facilities, reduce maintenance costs, and improve service to these areas. Once the water, sanitary sewer, and storm drain improvements are complete, approximately 17,400 square yards of asphalt pavement will be reconstructed.

Project status: The Arlington City Council approved a $2,891,258 construction contract for the project with Gra-Tex Utilities, Inc. Construction begins in fall 2017. An informational meeting about the project is set for Sept. 6. Click here for more information.

Related closures and outages: Some short term water outages and lane closures are expected during the project. Affected residents will be notified through face-to-face interactions, social media, and email communication.

Timeline: The project is scheduled for completion in 2019.
